We have some mobile fire-drums available for use free of charge in our park, if you wish to bring your own, please make sure it is off the ground and lit away from our trees or anything flammable.
In our un-powered area there are many trees (not shown on map) and they are in between most sites but not all, trees also line each side of the creek, which is a brackish creek that is not suitable for swimming or recreational use.
The Beach is a 1-2 minute walk from the campground, you can't see the Beach from the campground but you can certainly hear it! Beach is dog friendly, also it is not patrolled and can have rips. Pottsville creek is only a few Km's away for a more gentle swim.
Our amenities block is clean and functional, hot bore water showers, flushing toilets and rainwater to sinks, but, it is very OLD and TIRED, also not suitable for Disabled access at this time. We are keen to replace this building and plans are afoot to get this done as soon as possible. Please bear with us until this happens.
We collect and use rainwater here at Wooyung and our waste uses a septic tank, this means we unable to hose water to our powered sites, please fill up any tanks before arriving, otherwise containers can be filled at the amenities with the rainwater tap there. We do not have a dump point at this time, and as we are using a septic system, cassettes cannot be put into the toilet as it messes with the system and causes problems.
Dogs are welcome in the campground area and they can stay for free, we just ask that they stay on a lead, limit barking, cleaned up after immediately and not left unattended in the park.
Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information about anything to do with your upcoming holiday with us, we would love to hear from you!
All the best,
Mark & Jacqueline Cherry
