We do not allow generators as most of our customers come to Wooyung to enjoy the peace and quiet of bush camping.
Yes! We do have a dump point, it is seperate and accessible from out the front of the Amenities Block. A blue ‘Dump Ezy’ lid is visible and a hose is located nearby to clean cassette and dump point after each use.
Yes! Dogs are welcome in the campground area and they can stay for free. Please see our Pet Guidelines here.
We have a limited number of powered sites available but only unpowered sites in the camping area.
Wooyung Beach is a 1-2 minute walk from the campground. You can’t see the beach from the campground but you can certainly hear it!
The beach is dog friendly, but it is not patrolled and can have rips. Head to Pottsville Creek, just a short drive away, for a more gentle swim.
We have built a brand new Amenities block for our guests, after many years of hard work we have achieved this goal! We have more toilets and showers, a larger Laundry area with 2 washing machines ($5 per load, takes $1 & $2 coins)
We also have 2 new large covered dishwashing stations on the outside of the Amenities block.
There is an Ambulant toilet with handrails situated in the rear of both the ladies and gents facilities.
Our Disabled en-suite facility is still under construction and not accessible at this time.
We collect, treat and use rainwater here at Wooyung and our waste uses a septic tank, which means we are unable to provide hosed water to our powered sites so please fill up any tanks before arriving.
Otherwise containers can be filled at the amenities with the rainwater tap there.
Roomed Accommodation check-in is 2pm; check-out is 10am.
Camping check-in is 11am; check-out is 11am.
We usually offer bagged, dry and split firewood for sale at reception. You’re welcome to BYO firewood but please use dry and non-painted/non-treated wood only.
Please do not harvest wood from our forest areas and don’t burn rubbish.
We’re just a short drive from some absolutely idyllic swimming spots. Our favourites are Pottsville Creek, Torakina Beach, Hastings Point or Cudgera Creek.
Wooyung Beach is unpatrolled and our waterway onsite is a brackish creek that is not suitable for swimming or recreational use but it’s very easy to get to several beautiful spots close by.
