Old school camping at it's best
This is our third stay and on all occasions we chose the unpowered sites. Where else can you park the dog beside the fire listing to the wildlife rustling in the bush behind your camp site. The beach is so close and dog friendly. The park may be old and rustic but that is its charm and why we love this family owned park. No fancy pools, game rooms and silver service but instead charm, peaceful, laid back fantastic location to unwind and chat with like minded guests.
Most amazing camping place
Wooyang Beach Holiday Park is amazing. We usually take our dog but this year we didn’t. It is pet friendly and has showers so you can wash off after the 1 minute walk to the beach. They also take very good care of all their amazing camp sites. My family, friends and I love camping here and would never stop.
Great place to chill out
First timer at the park and won't be my last. Friendly staff, generous size spaces for setting up, gorgeous settings and great location on a beautiful beach with amazing unique sunrises. Loved my 4 day stay and look forward to my next. A great little spot!
Loved this little gem! Great back to basics camp site which is exactly what we love! We were allowed to share our space with our 2 four-legged girls, enjoy a beautiful fire and a 2 minute walk to an incredible beach! Very relaxed vibe. Ps: Gorgeous staff!
Great vibe in a great spot
Highly recommend this for a place to camp. The leafy nature makes the place feel more private than your typical camp ground. It's got close proximity to the beach (which is never that crowded). Also, the caretaker is bloody legend: I checked in after hours with no notice, on Easter Sunday - caretaker says "no problem". I asked for an unpowered site, but desperately needed to charge my laptop for a minute - "yep mate no worries". My van got bogged down in the sand across from the campground after I had already vacated - "no worries cobber, I'll be there in two shakes of a lamb's tail with a tractor equipped with enough torque to pull you out the Earth's mantle". I only regret not staying longer.
Great spot! Dog friendly all year. Lovely managers.
Highly recommended if you’re after a peaceful, back to basics experience. Great park for dogs. Wooyung Beach is an easy 3 minute walk. The beach is huge and basically empty with everyone keeping to themselves. It’s technically not an off leash beach but all dogs were off lead. Very polite owners always leashed or otherwise controlled their own dogs as paths crossed - as did we. Our small dogs LOVED our stay here. We were on a powered site with our caravan. The managers Jacqueline and Mark are lovely too. Park has some lovely big trees which provide great shade to most sites.
Wonderful Family Campground so close to the beach you can hear the ocean at night
Had a fantastic break with the kids. Huge site for camper and tent. They provided a fire pit for cooking which we made a damper and lots of other delicious meals. So close to the beach and most of the time you have it to yourself. It's great to take the kids away to nature and leave the technology behind. Highly recommended as a get away. Mark is a wonderful host, happy to help and give local fishing advice.
How Camping Should Be
This place is what camping is all about. Toilets with really friendly lizards watching while you pee. Showers, a washing machine, powered sites if you really need them for a few bucks a night extra. Owners are in the process of doing improvements like drainage and I’m sure other facilities are on their list, too. But with an untouched and out of the way place like this I don’t really care, it is great just like it is, faded signage on the road included. AND this place is DOG FRIENDLY. So hard to find. Yes our furry friend is on a lead/tied up on camp site however there is a huge beach over the road she has worn herself out on. Doggy bliss.
Fabulous rustic bush camping
This place is a little gem on the coast, so nice & refreshing to have a rustic bush camp right on the beach. It’s no Big 4 with playgrounds & swimming pools & concrete pads, thank god! But the location is wonderful, across the road you have one of the best vast beautiful beaches without all the tourists, just wonderful! Pet friendly, fire pits & the owners were so helpful & cheerful. We had a lovely relaxing time at the park, went fishing & enjoyed the fabulous beach, we will be back for sure. Thank you Wooyung Beach Caravan Park! Don’t change a thing!
What a fabulous caravan park tucked away from the rest of the World. Mark & Jacqui are awesome friendly hosts. I cannot believe we weren't aware of this jewel tucked in between the creek and the beach. We will certainly be back.
